beginning of summer!

This past week has been amazing! The kids are out of school, which I love! I love to have them home with me. They get antzy and they constantly want friends over....but I love having them here! Summer is a very special time.Last weekend, God blessed me by giving me a baseball tournament to photograph. My brother-in-law Chris and I were the photographers, Griffin was the computer genius, everyone else was runners! They ran the memory cards between the cameras and Griffin. My mom was such a blessing. She allowed me to use her camera so that there would be 2 cameras! Without these guys this past weekend would not have happened!We took over 10,000 pictures. We were able to use over 9000 of them! They are all uploaded and the particpants of the tournament are already ordering! i can't say thank you enough to everyone that helped and to God for allowing it all to happen!!

Amazing!

God is so good! I have started to see an increase in my business, mysplendidphoto.com!

This past weekend I had 2 HUGE jobs! One was for the school, to photograph the 8th grade formal dance. And the other was for a friend of mine. She had 5 total families come over to her house and I took their pictures!

This coming weekend, I just found out that I got the deal to be the official photographer of a local baseball tournament for Memorial Day weekend, thursday - sunday! There will be 49 teams participating in this tournament!

WOW! God is truely showering down blessings on me!

At church we have just started a youth praise and worship band. WE ROCK!!! It is so cool, because I play keyboard, Drew is playing the bass, Ashley is singing, and Jimmy is playiing drums or the electric guitar (whichever one is needed more :-)) It just happens to work out like that with half my family up there on stage....but I thank God for it! We have 2 other singers too, Jessica the leader, and Yvonne. And we have Alex who plays the acoustic guitar!

Anyway - it is so much fun! We all are just having so much fun right now!

vacation in mexico

Over spring break we went on a cruise to Mexico. We visited Cozumel and Costa Maya. At Costa Maya we toured recently discovered Mayan ruins. This tree on the grounds of the ruins is the coolest thing! The darker tree that you see in the middle of the tree was the original tree. A plant attached itself at the top of the tree and began to grow downward until it reached the ground and then took root, which is the lighter colored parts. Once it had roots it "suffocated" the original tree and killed it.I was thinking that this is a great example in the spiritual! If we allow the enemy to invade our thoughts and attack us at the top (our mind) then it will slowly grow and take root and then take over our spirit man, and suffocate our spirit man until it dies!
